Play a Spotify playlist on YouTube, free

Paste the link and Mehfil plays your Spotify playlist in order on one quiet screen. No Spotify account, no Premium, and nothing to install.

Three steps

  1. 1

    Copy the playlist link

In Spotify: open the playlist, tap the ⋯ menu, then Share → Copy link. On a computer it is right-click → Share → Copy link to playlist. An album or a single song works exactly the same.

  2. 2

    Paste it into Mehfil

There is one box on the home page. Paste and it starts reading the playlist straight away — no account, no permissions screen, nothing to authorise.

  3. 3

    Press play

It plays from the first song to the last, in the order the playlist has them. The words appear alongside when they are available, and your lock screen shows the song and the controls.

No account, no Premium

You do not need a Spotify account, and you never sign in to one. Paste a public playlist link and Mehfil plays it for you — free, on one quiet screen, from the first song to the last.

One thing to expect: now and then a song plays as a slightly different copy — usually the official one, occasionally a live version or one of a slightly different length. If the wrong one comes up you can skip it, and the rest of the list carries on.

What works, and what does not

WhatPlaysDetail
A public playlistYesHowever long the playlist is — for most, the whole thing in one go.
An album, or one songYesSame link, same box.
A private or collaborative playlistNoSpotify does not publish those to anyone who is not signed in, so there is nothing for Mehfil to read. Set it to public and paste it again.
Songs you uploaded yourselfNoLocal files exist only on your own device. There is no song to go and find.
Podcasts and audiobooksNoMehfil looks for music by its title and artist. It will not find an episode.
Apple Music, JioSaavn, Gaana, DeezerYesThe same three steps. Paste a link from any of them.

If a song genuinely cannot be found — taken down, never uploaded, or blocked where you are — Mehfil passes over it and says so on the queue, rather than quietly dropping it and leaving you to notice a shorter playlist later.

One honest limit

A phone browser will stop the music eventually. Mehfil holds the page open for as long as something is playing, and the lock screen controls work — but a phone that decides to sleep the page will win. Adding Mehfil to your home screen makes it more reliable, and the Android app removes the problem altogether.
